Round Britain 2014 Completed, Sunday 24th August. 2180 miles over 8 weeks.

June 27th to August 24th 2014 approx 2000 miles.

We only take 3 guests on each leg.

£4,995 all inclusive or choice of 3 legs from £1330 With your own cabin.


Unlike others sailing around UK, we are doing as a time out from running RYA courses and the challenge to enjoy sailing around the UK. Not looking to fill with lots which means sharing cabins/ berths! or rushing to a time table. Want to take a max of 3 guests, all have own cabin, enjoy the trip stopping at many as possible places, the best places. If you are looking to build up miles, sail around the UK, a sailing holiday, you can be assured that myself a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor will be skipper, owner of Ocean Adventures Sailing. Minimum experience Competent Crew or equivalent. So aim is a trip of a life time for all onboard including myself.

  • Just 3 guests/crew/students, hands on for an adventure of a lifetime or gain miles for milebuilder towards Yachtmaster.
  • Approx 40 passages and 2,000 miles in 60 days
  • 42 ft yacht, larger then most with more room, more comfort!

  • Ample free parking on the marina or free pickup from local train station  
  • Time to visit and see many places as you "sail around the UK" and touching the East coast of Ireland!
  • Full navigation electronics including Radar,AIS, GPS chart plotters inside & out.
  • Skippered by me: School Principal, YMI & Chief Instructor.
  • Wet weather gear provided & Full central heating in all cabins!
  • Includes: breakfast, lunch, soft drinks, snacks and evening meals onboard (a couple evenings a week we eat ashore which is not included).
  • Includes all diesel and mooring costs, food onboard and no hidden extras!
  • Could be used toward Yachtmaster fast track with lots of quality miles

Leg 1,

Hamble to Troon, (near Glasgow)

Start Hamble. Weymouth, Dartmouth, Salcombe, Falmouth, Penzance, Milford Haven, across to Ireland and stopping at places to Dublin, possibly Isle of Man, finishing at Troon, not far from Glasgow so trains and airport close by.

Start Friday 27th June finish Saturday 12th July 2014

Cost £1425 (15 days @£95 per day) fully booked 19/09/13

Leg 2,

Troon(near Glasgow) to Edinburgh.

Start Troon, Isle of Arran, Campbeltown, Islay, Jura, Oban, Isle of Mull, Isle of Skye, Isle of Lewis, Various places around the top of Scotland, Orkney Islands, Lossiemouth and working our way back down to Edinburgh.


Start Sunday 13th July finish Saturday 9th August 2014

Cost £2660 (28 days @ £95 per day)

Leg 3,

Edinburgh to Hamble,

Start Edinburgh, Eymouth, Tweedmouth, Holy Islands, Aamble, Blyth, Hartlepool, Grimsby, Lowestoft, Ramsgate, then either back along the UK coast or the French Coast.


Start Monday 11th August finish Sunday 24th August 2014

25% deposit on booking, 25% balance payable on 1/1/14 with final balance payable 1/4/14.
